Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Universal Banker to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our bank, providing outstanding customer service while managing a variety of banking transactions and relationship-building activities. Your enthusiasm for financial services and ability to connect with clients will help us grow our community presence and deepen client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting clients, answering inquiries, and guiding them through banking products and services
- Process a wide range of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, loan payments, and opening new deposit accounts
- Manage cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring compliance with cash management policies and banking regulations
- Promote banking products through upselling and cross-selling opportunities to meet clients’ financial needs
- Detect and prevent fraud by adhering to security protocols and industry best practices in financial compliance
Preferred Experience
- Previous banking experience
- Proven experience in customer relationship management within a banking or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of banking products, loan processes, and financial software applications
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using retail math skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations related to financial compliance and security practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients
- Basic math proficiency including debits & credits, cash handling procedures, and 10-key typing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for record keeping and reporting
